Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She worked later as an anchor for morning news for WCBD TV and acted as the crime reporter. The work of O'Dell on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases resulted in being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating these incidents. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell with its Best Report of the Years Award across all South Carolina Media. Her work in Charleston was the reason she joined as co-anchor, investigative report and anchor for NBC's Miami WTVJ-TV. Before she joined Access Hollywood she was a weekday co-anchor as well as the weekend anchor for NBC. O'Dell is a leading anchor for Access Hollywood. In addition, she contributes to NBC News Today and Dateline NBC. She covered events such as The Oscars, The Emmys, The Grammys, and The Golden Globe Awards. In addition to co-hosting Pre-ShowArrivals in preparation for The Emmys & The Golden Globes. She also hosted Miss USA's pageant as and the Miss Universe Pageant.
