Amy Lou Adams Amy Lou Adams born on 20th August 1974 in Aviano Italy American actress. She is renowned for her critically-acclaimed performances of charming, naive individuals. Adams was the youngest of seven children who lived as a child in the city of Castle Rock, Colorado. Adams was born when her father was employed by the U.S. Military in Italy. In the mid-1990s, she began doing professional dance and performance at the Boulder Dinner Theatre in Colorado and Country Dinner Playhouse. After that, she joined a regional theatre in Minnesota in which she was featured in a documentary mock-up on beauty contests called Drop Dead Gorgeous (1999). Following her debut on screen as a charming but snarky contestant she moved towards Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. Her husband was the actor Tony Curtis from June 1951 until September 1962, and was her mother to Kelly Curtis and Jamie Lee Curtis. She was discovered by actress Norma Shearer Leigh secured a deal with MGM and began her career in film in the late 1940s. The decade following she was in a variety of popular films including Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho (1960), and Living It Up by Martin and Lewis (a 1954 film).
